I couldn't be happier that I found Katie-Laine for hair and makeup for my August wedding. I was looking for someone who was just as into clean beauty as I was and I enjoyed learning some tricks and products from Katie-Laine during our trial run! Katie-Laine and her team did an amazing job with me, my 9 bridesmaids, flower girl, and mom! It was a long morning of getting ready but they were so energetic, truly want you to look your best (take direction well), and everyone was glowing from the inside out once everything was all over. Katie-Laine and her team did hair and makeup for my bridal party for our 4/13/19 wedding!  They were absolutely amazing!  Everyone had fun, and they did a great job of making each girl look unique but cohesive!  I also super appreciated that she made us feel polished & beautiful while still keeping it very natural.  My hair & makeup stayed in place all night, even through a rainstorm and lots of dancing!  Loved working with her!

I can't imagine a better hair and makeup artist to have for one's special occasion, especially one's wedding, than Katie-Laine.  I was not sure initially if I was even going to use a makeup artist, but our wedding planner impressed on me how different wedding makeup is from everyday makeup or even event makeup one applies oneself.  Katie-Laine was kind, thoughtful, knowledgable, artful, and a true professional.  Her non-toxic beauty approach made this bride--plus the hard-to-please mother of the bride ,with numerous cosmetic sensitivities, and the mother of the groom, who does not even normally wear makeup!--feel their absolute best and entirely taken care of.  With her attention to detail, focus on pampering skincare, and overall artistic touch, she and her assistant made sure everyone looked like the best version of themselves.  I can think of no higher praise for wedding makeup/hair than that!  I absolutely look forward to working with her again for future events!

Katie-Laine was absolutely amazing! After our trial session we knew we had a winner. She was on time, professional and so sweet! It was important for my wife and I to find someone that was open-minded and someone we felt comfortable with. Katie-Laine and her team are exactly what you need for your big day! They are talented, professional, and really listen to what you want! You'll be spending a good portion of your wedding morning with your hair/makeup team, so it's important to pick someone you get along with and Katie-Laine is just that person. I did my trial run about 6 weeks ahead of time and Katie-Laine provided me a great list of recommended skincare leading up to the wedding. I also appreciated that the product's she recommended were all available at Target! After the trial run, I had a few changes I wanted to make and Katie-Laine listened to them and had them all in her notes for the big day. All of my bridesmaids, MOG, and MOB loved their makeup and were so happy that they still looked like themselves...just polished! Thank you Katie-Laine!

Katie-Laine did the hair and make-up for our wedding, and she was wonderful! Everyone's make-up and hair looked great, and the best part is that she's an amazing person as well! Katie-Laine Thornton did my hair and makeup for both my engagement pictures and wedding. Throughout the entire season of events, she was very personable, professional, and lovely to work with. From the beginning, she provided all details so I knew exactly what to expect. She continually answered any questions I had. Her flexibility was extremely beneficial, and very important for a bride. Prior to the big day, she recommended skincare products that I still use (and love) to this day! She truly knows her products. Katie-Laine was my makeup artist and hairstylist for my wedding on 6/16/18. I highly reccommend her hair and makeup services. She was creative, professional, and calm. Calm energy is ESSENTIAL for a bride on her big day. Not only that but her team, including hairstylist Mallory, were equally professional. I am so grateful that Katie-Laine was a part of the village that made our wedding day so special. 

As for hair and makeup specifics - her brushes were clean, she had products to suit any skin tone, and she left a lip kit for touch ups. For hair, she and I worked together to determine whether I would go with my naturally curly hair or more refined curls for the big day. She also advised me on how to prep my hair for best results.

I am so happy I hired Katie-Laine for hair and MU on my wedding day. She demonstrated an incredible talent for making all my bridesmaids and me look and feel our most beautiful. As a testament to her talent: my MOH is notorious for redoing her own MU after the artist has gone, but Katie-Laine was the first ever where she was so happy that she did not change a single thing.
